Side Bend with a Golf Club

Side Bend with a Golf Club – Great way to develop awareness of staying in posture and maintaining a proper shoulder plane in the back swing and down swing. This can be key for consistency.

-Start in a golf posture with golf club across your chest

-Rotate into your back swing and pause at the top

-The shaft should be pointed just outside of where your golf ball would be (somewhat pointed at the ground)

-If the shaft is pointed more horizontally and not at the ground, you have lost posture

-After this, being slowly rotating into your downswing and pause at impact

-The shaft should be facing more towards the ground vs. out to the side

-If on either back swing or down swing the shaft is facing too far out to the side, your shoulders have gotten too flat
