Hip Hinge Mechanics with a Club – Great way to start progressing into deadlifting by knowing how to properly hinge from the hips.

-Grab a club and put it behind you running down your spine

-Hold it so the back of your bottom hand is touching your lower back with the club in hand

-Pay attention to the back of your hand and the point it is touching in between your shoulder blades

-With knees flexed, always maintain your leg angle, begin hinging from your hips down

-You will feel a stretch in the hamstrings

-Always maintain those two points of attachment of the club and hand 

-Hinge till your belt buckle cannot rotate down any more or the stretch has reached the point of pain
